17 Feb 2005

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology has recently announced that Environmental Systems and Services has been awarded a major contract to supply high-tech weather radars as part of a $62 million national upgrade of weather facilities. The contract award follows an extensive international tendering process conducted over the past year. The contract period is for five plus five years with the collective value over the first five years in excess of $11 million and, over the full period, estimated to be in excess of $25 million.

The official Australian Government Press Release can be found here.

"ES&S is proud to continue our long and successful relation with the Bureau", said ES&S CEO Bob Wright, "and we look forward to continued cooperation for many years to come. This is a major win for an Australian company and cements our place in the forefront of the meteorological industry in Australia".
